There are approximately 1.23 gazillion blogs on the Internet. Does the world really need another one?
We decided to create our travel blog while preparing for our fifth Viking River Cruise. We watched many YouTube videos of other travelers who had already been on similar or the same cruise (the Romantic Danube) from Nuremberg, Germany to Budapest, Hungary. Some of the travels videos are done by professional travel photographers, like Brendan van Son, who pump out daily video blogs (vlogs) while being paid to travel. Sounds like a great gig, doesn’t it?
Well, our aspirations to match that pace during our trip were not realized. Not even close. Traveling takes a lot of energy. Selecting the best pictures, editing them, and then typing up a narrative also takes time that we decided most nights during our trip we’d rather spend relaxing over dinner or, if you can imagine, sleeping! We did publish a few posts, but it’s going to take a little while to summarize our entire trip in a way that’s hopefully more comprehensive than a Facebook post.
Please be patient! We hope that you’ll still enjoy what we share about our trips, even if our memories are being written down while we’re back home.
